Leidesplein square is one of the best squares in Amsterdam and is surrounded by bars, cafes, hundreds of places to eat and drink and is also home to Boom Chicago comedy club which is well worth a visit during your stay.Also close by is the Jordaan area with come great shops and bars as well as come great restaurants.
You also have the tram outside your door to bring you anywhere else you want to go.
