Short Description
The Oster Residence is a wonderful spacious house (120 m2) with 3 floors situated in the middle of the Jordaan in central Amsterdam and is totally private with own front door.Located in the famous Canal Zone of the historic inner city, the Jordaan is one of the most sought after neighbourhoods of Amsterdam with many restaurants and shops. Around the corner of the Oster House is a colourful, typically Amsterdam, shopping street with lots of restaurants.
The Oster House is a comfortable accommodation for 1 to 4 persons. Because of the open spiral stairs to the master bedroom it is not very well suited for toddlers.
It is a non smoking apartment.
Neighbourhood/Location
The Oster House is situated in the historic centre of Amsterdam, within walking distance of the big canals. Just around the corner of the Oster House is a colourful, typically Amsterdam, shopping street where you’ll find a bakery/coffee shop with fresh baked bread every morning, many nice restaurants and lots of little shops.There is a supermarket , a gym/indoor swimming pool 200 metres away. An Antiques & Health food market on Monday morning is just around the corner.
The Anne Frank House and the seventeenth century Westerkerk are a five minute walk.
Major attractions like the Van Gogh Museum the Rijksmuseum, the Concertgebouw, Madame Tussauds, the Vondelpark, the Leidseplein and the Red Light district are within ten to twenty five minutes walking distance. (Tram stops one minute walking from the house).
Living Area
The large living room with flat screen TV (with access to over one hundred public television stations), DVD and CD player and a sofa bed (200 x 115 cm) is on the first floor.There are garden chairs and a small table placed to the side of the house where you can sit overlooking a quiet little city plaza adjacent to the apartment.

The master bedroom has a separately adjustable luxury double bed (180 x 200 cm) and a small television.It is located on the second floor - adjacent to a luxurious bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and washing machine.
There is a second shower room/ toilet downstairs
In addition there is an electrical inflatable mattress which can be put in the living room or in the bedroom.
Kitchen
On the ground floor there is a study, a shower/toilet and a luxuriously equipped kitchen.The kitchen is equipped with: Dishwasher, oven, microwave, water cooker, coffee machine, toaster, large refrigerator/deep freezer.

- WIFI internet connection.- Extra: inflatable mattress, chairs and tables outside at both sides of the house.
If you are planning on coming by car please mail us, so we can advise you on low cost long parking options. Parking in the centre of Amsterdam is a costly affair. (5 Euros per hour)

Where and how do I get the keys to the apartment?
Your confirmation mail will include the telephone number to contact the greeter/owner upon arrival at the airport or train station. You can arrange a time to meet the contact person at the property, to make payment and get the keys

Can I check in early or where can I leave my luggage until check in time?
Early check-in is only possible if the property is not booked the night before you arrive. You can arrange this with the owner 24-48 hours before your arrival. Some owners charge a small fee for an early check in. If early check in is not possible, there are lockers at central station.
