Short Description
This recently renovated original canal house combined with a studio is situated in the Canal Belt and lies between the Herengracht and the Singel, two of the most central canals in Amsterdam. Experience an exquisite blend of seventeenth century Amsterdam and a light modern style in this wonderful house.The 100m2 apartment covers the whole building and counts four floors. It is fully furnished in a mixture between the warm classic style of seventeenth century Amsterdam and a light modern style. It has three small, but cosy bedrooms with the original wooden ceilings and two bathrooms.
The seventeenth century style does mean that the stairs are quite steep and narrow, but walking up those tiny stairs is a completely Dutch experience in itself. Please be aware that the height on the second floor is only 1.85 cm! So be careful not to bump your head!
Neighbourhood/Location
As mentioned, the apartment is located between the Herengracht and the Singel canal. The Singel encircled the city in the Middle Ages and was the boundary of the old city. The Herengracht is the first of the three major canals in the city centre of Amsterdam.Some of Amsterdam's most popular restaurants are also within this range and you will have no problem finding a lovely place for dinner. The Central Station is only 800 meters away and if you chose to take the public transport, tram 1,2 and 5 have stops literally meters away.
Living Area
The entrance is on the ground floor and leads to the studio. Although the building is quite narrow, the studio is large enough to accommodate a comfortable sleeper sofa (140cm x 200cm) with two single duvets, a table with 4 stools, flat screen TV, a free Wi-Fi Internet.The studio has no kitchen. However, we have made available a microwave, a kettle, a small refrigerator and a coffee machine. Consequently, the study is quite self-sufficient and is an independent entity within the building. The bathroom has a beautiful Jacuzzi, shower, double sink and a toilet.
The living room on the first floor is wide enough to accommodate a comfortable sofa and one design chair with footrest near the front windows. The windows have a beautiful view of a typical Amsterdam street. For your entertainment, the room has a flat screen TV, DVD player and a Wi-Fi Internet. The windows, wooden beams, the original elements of s. XVII and works of art create a classic. On the back of the building is a small and cozy roof terrace.

The second and third bedrooms are on the third floor, which is a beautiful loft. The typical wooden ceiling beams are characteristic of the canal houses of this era and create a beautiful space to relax after a pleasant day in Amsterdam.Has at its disposal four single beds (4 x 80 cm x 200 cm) that are linked to form two large double beds plus four single duvets. Both rooms also have made available a flat screen TV and lamps. It also has room to store all your luggage and personal effects.

The bathroom and separate service are on the second floor. The bathroom has a large Jacuzzi, shower and double sink. You can access the second floor by a small staircase. (Be careful not to bang your head against the wooden beams or ladder.)

The kitchen and dining room on the second floor and only have a height of 1.85 m. The kitchen is fully equipped and has all necessary amenities. It is available a complete set of kitchen utensils, a refrigerator, microwave, toaster, blender, juicer, kettle and coffee maker. Where and how do I get the keys to the apartment?
Your confirmation mail will include the telephone number to contact the greeter/owner upon arrival at the airport or train station. You can arrange a time to meet the contact person at the property, to make payment and get the keys

Can I check in early or where can I leave my luggage until check in time?
Early check-in is only possible if the property is not booked the night before you arrive. You can arrange this with the owner 24-48 hours before your arrival. Some owners charge a small fee for an early check in. If early check in is not possible, there are lockers at central station.

A cancellation fees will be charged, on your credit card, as follows depending on the notice given:
- Fifteen (15) days or more prior to arrival 0% of the outstanding amount.
- Fourteen (14) to seven (7) days prior to arrival 50% of the outstanding amount.
- Six (6) to four (4) days prior to arrival 80% of the outstanding amount.
- Less than three (3) days or not showing up 100% of the outstanding amount.
To be valid, all cancellations must be made in a written manner by e-mail or fax.

1. An agreement and booking confirmation is achieved between Amsterdam City Apartments and the Tenant if an pre-payment is made by the Tenant and is received by Amsterdam City Apartments.
2. Amsterdam City Apartments renting out apartments for a limited time: no less then 6 nights and no longer than six months per calendar year per reservation.The Tenant can leave the apartment earlier then 6 nights and will only pay the nights that are stayed.
3. Amsterdam City Apartments cannot be held responsible for noise nuisance caused by renovations in properties of neighbors.
4. It is not allowed to stay with more persons then mentioned in the reservation form.
5. Organising parties is strictly forbidden.
6. Behave like a 'gentleman' and don't disturb the neighbours! Don't play loud music, scream or shout, etc.
7. If the Tenant violate terms 3, 4 or 5 the Property Manager is allowed to enter the apartment.
8. If the Tenant violate terms 3, 4 or 5 the stay can be cancelled immediately without restitution of the rent.
9. A copy or picture off all passports will be made during check-in.
10. It is not allowed to move inventory.
During check-in it is required to sign the following Certificate Of Good Conduct:
' Upon signing I declare that I will behave like ‘a gentlemen’, I will not organize parties, I will not use hard drugs and I will not disturb neighbours in any way. I take the responsibility for everybody staying with me in the apartment and for everybody invited to the apartment. If these rules are violated, I accept that the stay can be cancelled with immediate effect and no refund of the rental sum and refundable security deposit!'
