The top floor apartment is located in the Rivierenbuurt, a popular residential neighbourhood in the southern side of the city. The area is very popular with locals and is characterized by many shops, restaurants, cafes and terraces.The river Amstel is just a stone’s throw away, and the famous street market on the Albert Cuyp is at walking distance. At night the pubs – and in summertime the terraces – close to this market are smashed with people enjoying the good life.
There are excellent public transport connections to the city centre (trams, busses), or you can exercise a scenic 5-minute cycle to the canals of the city centre. If you head in the other direction, you are a short ride from the surrounding natural area, along the river Amstel. If you follow this river for 20 minutes you will find the rural town Oudekerk aan de Amstel – and some windmills along the way.
The Rivierenbuurt top apartment is the ideal place to explore Amsterdam, discover the country side, and to relax after a day of sight-seeing and activities.
